Odessa is a major seaport located on the shore of the Black Sea.

The city became the home of a large Jewish community during the 19th century, and by 1897 Jews were estimated to comprise 37% of population.

Most of the city's 19th century houses were built of limestone mined nearby. Abandoned mines were later used and broadened by local smugglers.

This created a complicated labyrinth of underground tunnels beneath Odessa, known as "catacombs". They are a now great attraction for extreme tourists.

Popular show-business people, like comedians, humorist writers' success in 1970s contributed to Odessa's established status of a "capital of humor".

Later several humor festivals were established in the city, including the celebration of the April Fool's Day (April the 1st ).

Lviv is regarded as one of the main cultural centers of Ukraine.
Lviv is the city of the West and of the East at the same time. It owes its unique location at the mystical intersection of global cultural and civilizational influences to its historical karma.
The city is advantageously and conveniently located at the geopolitical junction of two civilizations, at the tectonic fissure of two different and, at times, hostile cultures.
For centuries Lviv has been trying to reconcile the irreconcilable. It was the place where the mysterious, irrational and despotic East merged with the heroic, romantic and pragmatic West.

The different people and cultures that have lived in Kamianets-Podilskyi have brought their own culture and architecture. Famous tourist attraction include the ancient castle, and the numerous architectural attractions in the city's center, including the cathedral of Sts. Peter and Paul, the city hall building, and the numerous fortifications.

Ballooning activities in the canyon of the Smotrych River have also brought tourists. Since the late 1990s, the city has grown into one of the chief tourist centers of western Ukraine. Annual Cossack Games (Kozatski zabavy) and festivals, which include the open ballooning championship of Ukraine, car racing and various music, art and drama activities, attract an estimated 140,000 tourists.

Without any exaggeration one can say that the Crimean Peninsula is one of the most dramatically beautiful coastal areas in the world.

Nowhere else on earth will you find such incredible combination of varied scenery and climate, uncommon vegetation and animals, the greatest opportunities for tourism and spa resorts in such a small territory. Somebody called Crimea "the Earth in miniature".
